WALLITT, Louis C.
Age 83, of Elmira, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 15, 2009. Lou was born April 14, 1926, the son of Louis C. and Sadie Lynch Wallitt. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Alice Brown Wallitt; sons and daughters-in-law, Louis S. and Lynnette Schroeder Wallitt of Richland Hills, TX, Joseph J. and Mary Shon Wallitt of Elmira; grandchildren, Sara T., Joseph M., and David Wallitt; great-grandson Nixon J. Wallitt, with his mother Nikki Bouchard-Erway; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Bernice Brown of Elmira; several nieces and nephews; along with close friends, Miles Barnes, Ken and Linda Carrigan, all of Elmira. He was a longtime friend of "Bill W." Lou was a US Army veteran serving in Europe during WWII. He was retired from Kennedy Valve with 39 years of service. Lou loved to watch football, play cards, and talk endlessly about his grandchildren. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of Water and Walnut Sts., on Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Interment, with full military honors, will take place Monday, October 19, 2009 at 12:00 noon, at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Joe Wallitt  (Class of 1972)
